Cardiology Fellow Society

University of Iowa Cardiology Fellow Society
ABOUT THE CFS

The University of Iowa Cardiology Fellow Society was founded in 2007 by the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.  Through yearly educational opportunities and other membership activities, the UI Cardiology Fellow Society seeks to promote UI’s long tradition of life-long learning and encourage a continuing collegial relationship between the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the fellows who trained here.

Thank you to all of our alumni who returned from across the country to the UI campus on June 13, 2008 for our annual symposium.  We had a great time learning from our speakers and each other, networking, rekindling old friendships, and developing new relationships within the UI Cardiology Fellow Society.  We hope that you will plan to attend next year’s symposium and dinner.

This year’s event will hold many memories, not only from our UI gathering, but also from the rising waters as our presenters powered up their power points at Kinnick Stadium.  As you know, Iowa City, and much of eastern Iowa was under water by the end of the day on Friday, June 13th.  From all reports our out of town guests made it home safely, but not without challenges including numerous road closings.

The flood cancelled our evening dinner and fellow graduation ceremony, but was replaced with a reception on Friday afternoon, June 20th to celebrate the completion of their years in Cardiovascular Medicine at the UI.  This year’s class was the first to receive our new UI Cardiology Fellow Society pin.

Take a look at pictures from the symposium and reception.

We look forward to seeing you next spring!
