C. Patrick Burns, M.D.
Emeritus Professor
Dr. Burns' research interests focus on the role of oxidation of membrane lipids in experimental cancer therapeutics with drugs. This involves measuring and manipulating drug transport, cell differentiation, membrane physical properties, free radicals, and membrane lipid composition. His clinical interests are in general hematology and in the area of neoplastic disease, particularly the neoplastic diseases of the blood. He is involved with the investigation of experimental therapies for hematologic malignancies.
