Pulmonary Procedure Service


(3 Months during the F 1 Year)

Faculty Responsible : Geoffrey McLennan, M.D. and faculty attending for the month

Goals:

  1. Gain experience with invasive pulmonary techniques including pleural biopsy, thoracentesis, closed tube thoracostomy, transthoracic needle biopsy, and bronchoscopy.
  2. Gain experience in outpatient evaluation, diagnosis and management of patients suspected of having lung cancer.

Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Clinic

Evaluation:

Fellows are evaluated informally throughout the month by the staff attending, and they are evaluated formally at the end of each month by the attending staff.
