Cystic Fibrosis Service
(4 Weeks during F 1 Year)
Faculty Responsible : Douglas Hornick, M.D. and faculty attending for the month
Goals:
- Gain experience managing adult patients with cystic fibrosis.
- Manage cystic fibrosis inpatients.
- Participate in didactic sessions with faculty in managing cystic fibrosis and present at least one teaching conference in cystic fibrosis during the month.
- Actively participate in the weekly CF Center Rounds.
- Provide outpatient care to cystic fibrosis patients under faculty supervision.
Site of Instruction: University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics
Evaluation:
Fellows are evaluated informally throughout the month by the staff attending, and they are formally evaluated at the end of each month by medical students, residents and attending staff.
