Internal Medicine Continuity of Care Clinic
The continuity clinic experience provides residents with longitudinal exposure to ambulatory patient care over the first three years of residency, with an emphasis on chronic disease management. One faculty and resident will work together with a health care team of a nurse and medical assistant to provide comprehensive care to patients. For combined residents, it is possible to continue this experience through years 4 and 5. Dr Behrendtsen is currently developing an integrated internal medicine and psychiatry clinic within the internal medicine outpatient clinic.
