   Virtual True-Color Bronchoscope To Detect Lung Cancer
   R21 phase runs from 9/30/02 – 9/29/04. If approved after R21 phase is completed, the R33 phase runs from 9/30/04 – 9/29/06. The project proposes to conceive (R21 phase) and prototype/validate (R33 phase) a system combining a true-color bronchoscope and 3D CT analysis for comprehensive assessment of endobronchial lesions.

   Endobronchial Valve For Emphysema Palliation Trial (VENT)
   We are part of the multi-center study inserting these valves in the airway for the therapy of human emphysema. My role is to assure quality control at the Iowa site, insert stents, and we will be performing CT analyses on the subjects treated in this way at the University of Iowa.
