Following a stem cell transplant, most patients feel that they do not have the stamina they used to have. It may be very difficult for you to participate at the same level as you did prior to hospitalization in activities and as a member of your family. You and your family will need to understand that there is both an emotional and physical recovery from transplantation . We recommend patients wait six to twelve months after their transplant to return to work or school.
