Department of Internal Medicine Cardiology Fellows Named as Finalists for Young Investigator Awards 10/15/2004 Congratulations to Kim Boddicker, M.D., Fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, who was recently selected by the American Heart Association's Council on Cardiopulmonary, Perioperative and Critical Care as a finalist for the 2004 Cournand and Comroe Young Investigator Prize. Congratulations also goes to Satya Pulukurthy, M.D., Fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, for being selected as a finalist for the AstraZeneca Cardiovascular Young Investigators' Forum. His research entitled "Optical Bioluminescence Imaging for In Vivo Tracking of Progenitor Cell Engraftment of the Infarcted Myocardium" was selected to be presented at the Tenth Annual AstraZeneca Cardiovascular Young Investigators' Forum on October 21-24, 2004 in San Diego, CA. The forum provides an opportunity for research fellows and nontenured junior faculty from across the United States to showcase research in cardiology, hypertension and nephrology. |
