Somewhere between seven hundred and fifty thousand and three million. The death toll of the Khmer Rouge genocide (mid to late 70’s) seems to vary depending on the source. But the final impact seems to be same. About ten doctors were left in the Cambodia in 1979 as a result of Pol Pot’s vision of a society with one unified working class….a society “purified” of education, religion and wealth.
