Nancy L. Sprince, M.D., M.P.H.
Professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine

Dr. Sprince's research interests focus on occupational lung disease and injury prevention and control. Her work has included epidemiologic studies of workers exposed to asbestos, beryllium, cobalt, and metal-working fluids. She has also assessed relationships between clinical status and immunologic parameters in asbestos-exposed workers. She has investigated exposure-response relationships in workers exposed to cobalt. Her current research includes assessment of risk factors for farm work-related injuries, assessment of occupational diseases in munitions workers, and assessment of hearing loss as a risk factor for occupational injury. and assessment of asthma in veterans of the Persian Gulf War.
