Dr. Hassan's clinical interests include pulmonary and critical care medicine.
His research examines host defense mechanisms in response to viral infections in the airway epithelium with current emphasis on the interaction between molecular pathways of the endoplasmic reticulum stress response and influenza A viral replication and pathogenesis
