Heather Muster, M.D., M.S.
Associate
Dr. Muster’s clinical and research interest is focused on the relationship between cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease. She is the recipient of a VA Career Development Award and was a Young Investigator for the National Kidney Foundation. She is currently a site investigator for the ALTOLD study (Assessing Long Term Outcomes of Living Donation) which is a national, multi-center study to assess the effects of kidney donation. In addition, she is the principle investigator for a research project that is assessing the effects of abrupt changes in GFR on vascular function.
In addition to her research responsibilities, Dr. Muster is the liaison for the FCP IV (Foundations in Clinical Practice) Renal pathophysiology course where she organizes the course, gives lectures and oversees small groups. Her clinical responsibilities include both inpatient consultation as well as outpatient clinics at the VA Medical Center.
