Inpatient Service
The Hematology-Hematologic Malignancy Inpatient Service cares for inpatients with acute leukemia, chronic leukemia, lymphoma, hemophilia and other coagulation disorders, aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, Hodgkin's disease, multiple myeloma, macroglobulinemia, and other hematologic disorders. The service includes medical students, two junior and one senior resident physician in Internal Medicine, and a Hematology/Oncology staff physician. A fellow associate undergoing subspecialty training in Hematology/Oncology may also participate. The service delivers both standard and investigational new therapies, including protocols available through the Cancer and Leukemia Group B and locally originated protocols.
