Dr. Halfdanarson's clinical interests focus on gastrointestinal and thoracic oncology, the management of neuroendocrine malignancies, especially carcinoid tumors and islet cell tumors.
His research interests include cancer epidemiology, treatment and prognosis of neuroendocrine tumors and symptom management in advanced cancer.
