Dr. Haynes' research interests include studies of the effects of homocysteine, diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia on endothelial function in humans. He is also interested in the cardiovascular and autonomic effects of obesity, focusing on novel mediators such as leptin and the melanocortins. Dr. Haynes has a particular interest in vascular medicine, focusing on prevention and regression of atherosclerosis through management of cardiovascular risk factors including hyperlipidemia, hypertension and high homocysteine.
