Hal B. Richerson, M.D.
Professor Emeritus
Dr. Richerson's clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of hypersensitivity, immune-mediated and immunodeficiency diseases, and a continuing interest in general internal medicine. Diseases of special interest include bronchial asthma, dysproteinemias, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, syndromes associated with eosinophilia, and common variable immunodeficiency and related states. Research activities are directed primarily toward studies of pathogenetic mechanisms in immunologic lung diseases and immunologic/tolerogenic responses to inhaled and ingested antigens in animal models and in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma in man.
